     point scale with latter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the
     Master's degree level.

     Five years  of  experience  of  teaching  and/or  research
     excluding  the period spent for  obtaining the  research
     degrees and has made some mark in the areas of scholarship

     as evidenced by quality of publications,  contribution  to
     educational  innovation,  design of new  courses  and
     curricula.

       1. Ph.D. degree in Communication/Mass   Communication/
           Journalism from an Indian University or an  equivalent

       QUALIFICATIONS - ESSENTIAL

       Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or, 
       an equivalent grade  of B in the 7 point   scale   with 
       latter grades O,A,B,C,D,E & F at the  Master's  degree
       level, in the  relevant    subject   from  an   Indian 
       University,  or,  an equivalent degree from  a foreign
       University.   
                                              
       Besides    fulfilling   the   above    qualifications, 
       candidates   should    have  cleared  the  eligibility 
       test   (NET)   for lecturers  conducted   by  the  UGC, 
       CSIR   or  similar test accredited by the UGC.  However,
       the  candidates  having  Ph.D. degree  in  the concerned
       subject  are exempted NET for PG level  and UG level
       teaching.                                     

       NOTE:
       1.   A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% 
       of the  marks at the  Master's  level for  the SC/ST
       category.

       2.   A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to  50% 
       of the marks to the Ph.D. degree holders who have  passed
       their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

       3. B in the 7 point scale with letter grade O, A, B,  C, 
       D, E & F shall be regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever 
       the grading system is followed.

       4.   A relaxation of the minimum marks at the PG level 
       from 55%  to 50% for appointment as Lecturer may  be
       provided   to  the candidates who  have  cleared  the 
       JRF    examination conducted by UGC/CSIR only, prior  to
       1989,  when the minimum marks required to appear for JRF
       exam. were 50%.

     (ii)First Class Degree at Master's level in the appropriate
         branch of Engg./Tech.  with 5  years'  experience  in

         equivalent.  Such candidate will be required to  obtain
         Ph.D.  degree within a period of 7 years from the  date
         of appointment as Reader.

       Note: "A candidate who does not possess a Ph.D.  degree
             and  fails to complete the said degree within a
             period of 7 years from the date of appointment  as
             Reader,  his/her  increment will   be  stagnated
             (stopped)  from  that  date onwards  till  he  /she
             completes  the degree and will be  restored  w.e.f.
             the date he/she is awarded the Ph.D. degree."

     (iii) Candidates from Industry/Profession with First Class
         Bachelor's   degree  in  the appropriate  branch   of

     in Costume Design & Dress Making / Garment  Technology/
     Fashion  Design  of two year's duration after  SSSC/three
     after SSC or its equivalent, with five years of  experience 
     in the relevant field.

     Scale of pay : Rs. 8000-13500 plus allowances.

     QUALIFICATION-ESSENTIAL :
        
     Atleast  a second class degree in Mechanical Engg or its
     equivalent. Five years in a reputed Industries or  Workshop
     preferably in a teaching Workshop.


 31. Technical Assistants (2), Dept. of Electrical Engg.

     Scale of pay : Rs. 4500-7000 plus allowances.

     QUALIFICATION-ESSENTIAL :
        
     B.Sc. with two year experience in the relevant field after
     obtaining degree.

     Diploma  in  Engineering in appropriate branch with three       
     years  experience  in the relevant field  after obtaining
     Diploma.

     High School (Science) with Trade Certificate  from  I.T.I.       
     with 6  years experience in the  relevant  field after

     Desirable: Experience of handling equipments   in  an

     Uniformly  good  academic record (not less than  50% marks

     1. Second  Class Bachelors Degree (50% marks and above  in
         aggregate including elective and languages in the degree

         Degree/Diploma in Education/Teaching.

         Four years integrated degree Course of Regional Colleges
         of Education of NCERT.

           2. For  those candidates who have  obtained  60% and
             above marks in the aggregate in B.Sc. or equivalent
             examinations 55%  marks  and above  in  Master's
             Degree examination  essential qualifications   of
             University Degree/Diploma in   Education/Teaching
             shall  be  relaxed for  a limited  period.   Such
             candidates,  if selected, will be placed on trial
             basis initially for a period of two years which may
             be extended only in exceptional  cases by the
             appointing   authority for  a total  period  not
             exceeding  five  years from the date of initial
             appointment  or as required, depending on merit  of
             individual cases, if the candidate is not able  to
             acquire  the teaching degree /Diploma within the
             stipulated period of two years for reasons  beyond
             his/her  control.  No  further extension  will  be
             granted.                  

       For the post TGT (Physics)

       Applicants should have offered and passed the  Bachelor's
       degree from a  recognised University with  any of the
       following groups of subjects:

     Science  followed  by  at least five years  experience  as
     Sr.Programmer/Systems Programmer.

     Desirable

     1. Sufficient  experience  of  working in a  supervisory
         capacity in a Computer Centre/Acounting Office.

     2. At  least five years experience of  Systems Management.
         Programming/Development of Project works. Implement  of
         already Developed Programmes/Software Packages including
         Networking of various units.

     3. Sound knowledge  and Experience of working on various
         latest operating systems viz. NT/UNIX/NOVEL NETWORK.

     4. Sufficient  experience  of Development  of  Packages  on
         RDBMS viz.,  SYBASE, ORACLE-8/POWER BUILDER/DESIGNERS
         FORMS 8 Specially SOFTWARE Accounting Packages.

     QUALIFICATIONS-ESSENTIAL :

       1. Graduate of a  statutory Indian  University  or  an
           equivalent foreign qualifications.
       2. At least five years experience of Public Relations
           work.  Contacts  with Editors and  Correspondents  of
           Daily Newspapers.
       3. Ability to write efficiently in Urdu/Hindi/English.

 43. Junior Engineers (3), Building Department

     Scale of Pay : Rs. 5000-8000 plus allowances.

     QUALIFICATION-ESSENTIAL :

     1. Diploma   in  Civil  Engineering from   a   recognised
         Institution.
     2. Minimum three  years experience of maintenance  and
         construction  of  buildings and roads,  after obtaining
         Diploma.

 44. Publicity Assistant (1), Public Relations Office

     Scale of Pay: Rs.4000-6000 Plus Allowances


     QUALIFICATIONS-ESSENTIAL :

       1. Originarily Graduate or equivalent qualifications.
